Dr. Joan Baijnath is a licensed physician specializing in internal medicine and the founder and creator of Avanya Mineral Cosmetics. She envisioned creating a line of mineral cosmetics that would improve the lives of women by utilizing natural ingredients that prevent and protect against pre-mature aging and common skin conditions.

It is a well known fact that women develop acne in response to the preservatives, perfumes, and dyes found in traditional cosmetic and skin care products. Having struggled with acne most of her life, Dr. Baijnath felt it was essential to create a line of cosmetics to help her, her patients and all women.
